Receive email attachments

You can receive files into a flow as email attachments using the mail tool. One or more email accounts are automatically checked and all attachments processed.

This flow is compatible with: LightSWITCH, FullSWITCH, PowerSWITCH

Information

In this simple flow the Mail Receive tool is used to automatically check one or more email accounts. All emails that arrive in one of those accounts are downloaded; if the email has attachments, those attachments are dropped in the "Input" folder.

Email information such as the subject, content and sender email address from the incoming emails can be stored in the job ticket of the email attachements. That information can be used later in the flow (for example to send out notification emails or error reports).

Additional requirements

In order to use this flow you have to take the following additional requirements into account:

• You have to configure the POP3 server and account information of the Mail Receive tool

Using this flow

• Download the flow and save it on your computer: download flow
• Launch one of the SWITCH products this flow is compatible with
• Use the “Flow > Import…” menu item
• In the dialog that is shown, select the flow file you just saved

The flow now appears in the flow list. You can now examine or customize it to your needs.
