Download files from an FTP server

Automatically download all files from selected folders on an FTP server into a folder in a flow for further processing. This flow shows how easy that is.

This flow is compatible with: LightSWITCH, FullSWITCH, PowerSWITCH

Information

The FTP Receive tool in this example flow can watch an FTP server and automatically download all files that arrive in a selected folder (including - if necessary - subfolders). Information about the FTP server and the subfolder from which the file was downloaded can be stored in the internal job ticket of the downloaded files.

Additional requirements

In order to use this flow you have to take the following additional requirements into account:

• You have to configure the FTP server address and properties of the FTP Receive tool

Using this flow

• Download the flow and save it on your computer: download flow
• Launch one of the SWITCH products this flow is compatible with
• Use the “Flow > Import…” menu item
• In the dialog that is shown, select the flow file you just saved

The flow now appears in the flow list. You can now examine or customize it to your needs.
