Create HTML preflight report - PitStop Server

Using PitStop Server in combination with SWITCH allows you to create an XML preflight report. The XSLT transform tool is used in this example to convert the XML report to an HTML page ready to be uploaded to the Gradual Software website. 

This flow is compatible with: FullSWITCH, PowerSWITCH.

Information

The PitStop Server is used to preflight all incoming PDF files. All files which pass the preflight are dropped in the "Success" folder. If a file fails, the error report is saved in the "Error report" folder. XML is chosen as the report type on the PitStop Server configurator i.e. all error reports will be saved in XML format.  

The XSLT Transform tool will take these XML reports and convert them to HTML using the selected XSLT style sheet.

Using this flow

• Download the flow and save it on your computer: download flow
• Launch one of the SWITCH products this flow is compatible with
• Use the “Flow > Import…” menu item
• In the dialog that is shown, select the flow file you just saved
• The flow now appears in the flow list.
• Download the images archive: download
• Save the "images" folder 2 levels higher relative to the "HTML error report" folder.

You can now examine or customize this flow to your needs.
