Canto Cumulus / XLent AutoCatalog

Cumulus 7 is an evolutionary step to let you get a handle on your company’s DAM-based workflow.

AutoCatalog provides the framework in which you can define a server-side workflow for Canto Cumulus predefined or customizable. AutoCatalog comes with predefined workflows which can work together with the example SWITCH flows.

Connection

The AutoCatalog provides a framework in which you can define a server-side workflow, based on one of four principles:

• HotFolder:
  Files dropped in this folder are processed and then deleted
• WatchFolder:
  Files in this folder and subfolders are synchronized with a Cumulus catalog
• HotCollection:
  Records resulting from a search are processed.
• SyncFolder:
  Synchronize local files to a remote (FTP-)server.

SWITCH uses these methods to communicate through AutoCatalog with the Cumulus catalog.
