InDesign to PS to Preflighted PDF

This example flow prints to a PS file out of Adobe InDesign. This PS file is then distilled, preflighted with callas pdfInspektor.

This flow is compatible with: FullSWITCH, PowerSWITCH 06 Update 5 and higher.

Information

All files that are dropped in the "Input InDesign files" folder are automatically picked up by the Adobe InDesign configurator which uses a JavaScript to print to PostScript. This JavaScript uses a print preset which you can create in InDesign. In this example flow "My Print Preset" is used.

The PostScript files are then distilled using the "Press Quality" Adobe PDF settings.

The callas pdfInspektor configurator will take these PDF files and preflight them them using the "Sheetfed Offset CMYK" preflight profile. Of course it is possible to change the settings from this example to any preflight profile you want to use.

All PDF files that were preflighted successfully are saved in the "OK" folder. All other files are saved in the "Not ok" folder. The preflight reports of the files with errors are saved in the "Log not ok" folder.
