Illustrator to Certified PDF

This example flow saves a PDF file out of Adobe Illustrator using direct export. This PDF file is then preflighted and certified with Enfocus PitStop Server.

This flow is compatible with: FullSWITCH, PowerSWITCH.

Information

All files that are dropped in the "Input Illustrator files" folder are automatically opened in Adobe Illustrator and saved as PDF files using the "Press Quality" Adobe PDF settings. This means that the PDF is exported out of Illustrator directly without going over PostScript.

The PitStop Server configurator will take these PDF files and certify them using the "Generic Press" preflight profiles. Of course it is possible to change the settings used in this example to the preflight profile you want to use.

All PDF files that were certified successfully are saved in the "OK" folder. All other files are saved in the "Not ok" folder. The preflight reports of the files with errors are saved in the "Log not ok" folder.

Using this flow

• Download the flow and save it on your computer: download flow
• Launch one of the SWITCH products this flow is compatible with
• Use the “Flow > Import…” menu item
• In the dialog that is shown, select the flow file

The flow now appears in the flow list. You can now examine or customize it to your needs.
