Preflight - pdfInspektor
This flow demonstrates how you can preflight PDF files using the callas pdfInspektor configurator.
This flow is compatible with: FullSWITCH, PowerSWITCH.
Information
The flow contains a single Input Folder. A filter on the input connection makes sure that only PDF files will be passed on to callas pdfInspektor.
All PDF files are preflighted by pdfInspektor using the “Sheetfed offset (CMYK).kfp” preflight profile.
The flow uses a typical setup using four different out connections; two of those route resulting PDF files, the two others transfer preflight reports generated by pdfInspektor during preflight.
The connections make it trivial to visually see what kind of files they transfer; three different color icons can be displayed next to a connection:
- Green, for files generated on success. This connection transfers files for which preflight raised no problems and no warnings.
- Yellow, for files generated on warning. This connection transfers files which generated warnings during preflight but no errors.
- Red, for files generated on error. This connection transfers files which generated errors during preflight.
Typically warning files are treated the same way as success files; a preflight warning is something you might want to know about but that does not need to stop the file’s processing. Hence in many cases warning files are processed in the same folder as the success files.
