Check images and hand over to ADAM
The EXIF information is retrieved from all images received through FTP. FlightCheck professional is used to check the quality of the images and sends low quality images through an approve cycle before adding them to ADAM.
This flow is compatible with: PowerSWITCH Microsoft Windows only.
Information

Two different FTP receive tools are set up to connect to an FTP server every 10 minutes and download the files and jobs from the top level on the FTP server. If you want the FTP receive tool to look into the subfolders and retrieve single files, you can change the property "Subfolder levels" to the number of subfolder levels deep you want to go.
Next, a script element uses EXIFspy to retrieve certain fields of the EXIF information. This information is stored in the SWITCH job ticket for each specific file. More information about EXIFspy is available on the "Application Library" page.
FlightCheck Professional checks the quality of incoming images; high Quality images go straight on to ADAM; low quality images go through an approve cycle first.
A Checkpoint is used for the approve cycle. All images that didn't get through the preflight check from FlightCheck Professional, will remain waiting in this checkpoint until somebody approves or declines them in SWITCHclient. When selecting an image in SWITCHclient, the user will see the width and height of that specific image. He/she will also be able to open and view the image or save it locally. All this can help the user to decide if this image should go to ADAM or should be deleted.
If "decline" is chosen in the SWITCHclient, the image will stay in the "declined images" folder for 10 days after which it will be deleted by the Recycle Bin tool.
If "Approve" is chosen, the image will be sent to ADAM together with the "High res images". Both folders are connected to the "Archive in ADAM" tool which is a Visual Basic Script that tells ADAM to create a new record and add the file to its database.
When you select the "Archive in ADAM" script element, you'll see that you need to enter a number of properties in order to make the correct link between SWITCH and ADAM.
