Create soft proof - PDF Enhancer

PDF files are dropped into the hotfolder of the designated customer. PDF Enhancer automatically creates a soft proof and sends the file to the correct customer.

This flow is compatible with: FullSWITCH, PowerSWITCH.

Information

The ad agency using this flow works with a number of “regular” customers. Each customer has his own inbox on the server and the creator working for this customer drops the files in the correct folder. An appropriate “customer” email address is attached to the file depending on where it was found.

Only PDF files are allowed in this flow and will be accepted in the “PDF files” folder. PDF Enhancer converts them to soft proofs using the “CMYK proof” target. If the creation of the proof fails, a problem log is generated and sent to the operator.

A successfully created soft proof is sent to the customer using the “Mail client” tool. The correct email address is retrieved from the metadata which was included in the beginning of the flow.

Both original files and successfully created soft proofs are saved in the archive folder, where they are stored in subdirectories, depending on how they entered the flow.

Using this flow

• Download the flow and save it on your computer: download flow
• Launch one of the SWITCH products this flow is compatible with
• Use the “Flow > Import…” menu item
• In the dialog that is shown, select the flow file

The flow now appears in the flow list. You can now examine or customize it to your needs.
