Create PDF - Adobe CS2

PostScript, Illustrator or InDesign files are converted to PDF files using Adobe PDF Presets.

This flow is compatible with: FullSWITCH, PowerSWITCH.

Information

The input folder is a hot-folder where different file types or jobs are dropped.

Filters are used to:

• Move the PDF files straight to the PDF folder.
• Move the PostScript, EPS and PRN files to Distiller.
• Illustrator files to Illustrator.
• InDesign jobs (Packages) to InDesign.

Distiller will distill all PostScript files using the selected PDF settings.

Illustrator will open the Illustrator files and export a PDF using the selected Adobe PDF Preset. This is using the direct export out of Illustrator and not going over PostScript.

InDesign jobs are opened in InDesign while keeping all links intact. PDF files are exported using the selected Adobe PDF Preset i.e. also using direct export.

All files that are not allowed in the flow, are moved to the “Problem files” folder and a notification is sent to the operator/administrator.

Using this flow

• Download the flow and save it on your computer: download flow
• Launch one of the SWITCH products this flow is compatible with
• Use the “Flow > Import…” menu item
• In the dialog that is shown, select the flow file

The flow now appears in the flow list. You can now examine or customize it to your needs.
