Gradual Software Appoints Distributor in Italy

TechnoSolutions to distribute full range of automated publishing solutions.

Ghent (Belgium), May 9, 2006 — Gradual Software, specialists in software solutions for automating the publishing process, announced today that the company has appointed TechnoSolutions to distribute their full range of software solutions in Italy. The product range consisting initially of CaslonFlow has now expanded to the recently announced SWITCH range, which offers cross platform Mac OS X and PC compatibility and enhanced feature sets. TechnoSolutions will offer upgrade and migration routes to the new products, and is actively cooperating with other software and hardware providers to construct relevant bundles, to be announced at Grafitalia, taking place 9th - 13th May in Milan, Italy.

Gradual Software’s Director of Sales, Saskia Desmet says, “TechnoSolutions has a very proactive approach to distributing and supporting a wide range of software products. This drive and expertise convinced us that TechnoSolutions is an ideal match for our cross-platform and automation enhancer SWITCH products. We look forward to working with TechnoSolutions to bring these innovative new products to the Italian marketplace."

Donato Stellabotte, Managing Director of TechnoSolutions, states, “This agreement provides an exciting addition to the range of options we can offer. Now we have a viable Mac OS solution, running on both G5 processors and the new Intel based Macs. Users can glue together the desktop solutions they already know and use into a productive, automated workflow. Gradual Software has shown they are serious contenders in this market, with the substantial improvements they have already made to the CaslonFlow product.”

Technosolutions’ distribution strategy for the Gradual products is through a channel of value added resellers, who can reach more vertical markets that can take benefit from the Gradual publishing solutions, such as graphic designers, in-house printing departments, newspapers, office environments, technical documentation centres, etc.

System Milano has been appointed as one of TechnoSolutions’ preferred partners to serve customers in Italy. System Milano is one of the most experienced system integrators in the Technosolution’s channel, capable to support customers directly in the implementation and integration of Gradual solutions within the customer’s environment. Based at Legnano, 20 km from Milano, System Milano, CaslonFlow dealer for some years, has already started to sell the new SWITCH software solutions.

“We are impressed with the new SWITCH range. We see it as a logical move forward from CaslonFlow, adding Mac compatibility and an entry-level solution for those people who just need to move files around, avoiding the hassle of doing it manually” says Roberto Girlanda, CEO of System Milano, “I’m convinced users will be able to justify FullSWITCH on the time savings alone, recuperating the initial investment cost within a few months."

Grafitalia 2006 will provide the first public viewing of Gradual Software's SWITCH range in Italy. In depth demonstrations of LightSWITCH, the entry level, file movement, filtering and management solution - as well as FullSWITCH - will be held daily on the TechnoSolutions’ stand c/o Rekordata C39 in Hall 15 and System Milano’s stand A21-C22 in Hall 15.

LightSWITCH will be priced at EUR 750 and FullSWITCH at EUR 2.500. CaslonFlow users can upgrade to FullSWITCH for just EUR 300. There will be a no-penalty upgrade from LightSWITCH to FullSWITCH by paying the difference in price. A more advanced product called PowerSWITCH will introduce scripting and metadata support and introduce workgroup features. PowerSWITCH, priced at EUR 5.000, is expected to be commercially available in the summer of 2006. Until that time PowerSWITCH can be ordered at a special introductory price of EUR 4.000 (instead of EUR 5.000). Upgrade from CaslonFlow is available for EUR 1.500. The customer can choose to upgrade to CaslonFlow 5.5 or FullSWITCH.

To be kept up to date on the availability of the SWITCH range, contact TechnoSolutions on +39 0522 271621, or at info@technosolutions.it.
