Gradual Software showcases latest developments of automation solutions at Graph Expo in Chicago
Ghent (Belgium), July, 2007 — Gradual Software, specialist in publishing automation solutions, will have a strong presence at Graph Expo, held September 9 -12th, 2007 in Chicago, IL, USA. The company will unveil its newest product line to the US market, in cooperation with its strategic German partner callas software. The two companies will exhibit together at booth 5358 and demonstrate the synchronicity between their product solutions.
During Graph Expo, Gradual will introduce its SWITCH family of products, including LightSWITCH and FullSWITCH, which enables users to implement workflow automation solutions tailored to meet the production needs of individual work environments. PowerSWITCH provides advanced automation features, such as support for scripting and metadata, together with SWITCHclient, a workgroup client that makes it easy to deploy automation for a complete workgroup.
Graph Expo offers an excellent venue for Gradual to highlight the benefits of its automation solutions to the American market. Gradual's decision to share a booth with callas software will enable both companies to interact with users as well as potential customers, while highlighting the advantages of the SWITCH family of products.
“We are very pleased to attend the upcoming Graph Expo with Gradual Software as part of our strategic partnership,” states Olaf Drümmer, founder and CEO of callas software. “The SWITCH products offer an ideal platform for our CLI tools. By implementing FullSWITCH or PowerSWITCH, users benefit from a streamlined integration process of the command line modules pdfInspektor4 CLI, pdfColorConvert CLI and pdfCorrect CLI. It isn't necessary to use script code to connect to the workflow system, which makes the process of checking, validating, correcting, and subsequent embedding of missing fonts, as well as color converting of existing PDF files, so much simpler for users.”
Gradual's SWITCH software, distributed in the U.S. by Tools4Media, is installed at a number of American firms and is delivering strong returns in productivity, efficiency and cost savings in a variety of production environments. Tools4Media offers SWITCH as a solution to deliver improved integration capabilities in combination with other Tools4Media workflow offerings.
Frank Loversky, Tools4Media's President, comments: "We chose to add Gradual as a primary portfolio offering because they offer very flexible and easy to integrate automation software for many types of workflows, including simple PDF preflight workflows, Native to PDF workflows and workflows that integrate with other systems. This flexibility, along with Gradual's excellent support and technical innovation, makes it a company that is a real pleasure to work with.”
